Meet lisa
The first time a bodyworker worked on one of my horses, when she was done she said “oh and you might need a new saddle for her… I released so much tension she’s wider now.”
I was stunned, but she was right. From there I became really passionate about learning about horses movement, their muscles and how to release tension.
After years of working with horses, I completed my certification as an Equine Massage Therapist and Bodyworker through Willowbrook Academy in Canada. My training included over 250 hours of practical education and one-on-one mentorship, giving me a strong foundation in equine anatomy, biomechanics, massage techniques, and whole-horse bodywork.
Today I’m based in the Southern Highlands, where I work with horses of every discipline and every stage of life. From high-performance competition horses and pony club mounts to trusted family horses and seniors enjoying retirement, my goal is always the same: to help each horse move more comfortably, more freely, and with less restriction.
And of course, no visit would be complete without my four-legged assistant, Ellie. She’s chief morale officer, enthusiastic greeter, and always happy to have a pat.
“Growing up in rural Canada surrounded by a culture that values animals as companions, workers and athletes, I saw the difference firsthand that bodywork made to how my horses moved”
